My brothers and sisters of Africa, my fellow dreamers, and the youth who carry tomorrow in their hands 

I stand before you as a son of this soil. I was not born into wealth, but into struggle. I know the taste of poverty, the pain of going without, and the loneliness of walking the streets of Kampala with nothing but ambition in my heart. Yet, I also know the power of vision, the power of technology, and the power of refusing to give up.

From a small beginning with one laptop, I built Monocrone Technology. From Monocrone, I built ETUW. From ETUW came the Don Zayeed Foundation. And from those foundations, I discovered something profound: technology is not just a tool it is the bridge between poverty and prosperity.

The Challenge Before Us

Africa is a land of abundance. We have gold, oil, fertile soil, and sunlight that never fails. But our greatest wealth is not under the ground—it is in our people.

Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana—everywhere you go, our youth are full of energy, intelligence, and creativity. And yet, what do they face? Unemployment.

Every year, thousands graduate. But too many end up idle, hopeless, and forgotten. And when unemployment strikes, despair follows. Despair leads to mental stress. Stress leads to broken homes, crime, migration, and even wasted lives.

We cannot allow this cycle to continue.

Technology as the Great Equalizer

Let me share a truth I have lived: technology does not ask for your background. Technology does not ask whether you grew up in the city or in the village. Technology only asks: What can you create? What problem can you solve?

That is why Monocrone Technology exists—to unlock Africa’s hidden potential.

In Uganda, we can digitize agriculture so that farmers sell directly to markets and create thousands of jobs in logistics and processing.

In Kenya, fintech can expand beyond money transfer to power entrepreneurship in every village.

In Nigeria, digital entertainment and e-commerce can employ millions of youth.

In South Africa, renewable energy tech can fuel a green industrial revolution.

In Ghana, smart manufacturing and digital marketplaces can transform entire industries.

This is not theory—it is already happening. What we need is to scale it up until no young African remains unemployed because of lack of opportunity.

From Poverty to Prosperity

I know many young men and women who started with nothing, like me. Some were once street hawkers. Others were unemployed graduates. But when given access to skills—coding, design, digital marketing—they transformed into entrepreneurs. They did not just find jobs; they created them.

This is the future I see: millions of African youths turning their ideas into businesses, their struggles into stories of triumph, and their poverty into empires.

M-SET: Africa Among the Stars

Some may ask, “Don, why speak of space when Africa still struggles on earth?”

My answer is simple: survival is not enough—we must dream beyond survival.

That is why we founded M-SET (Monocrone Space Exploration Technology). Space is not just about rockets. It is about the satellites that connect rural villages to the internet. It is about the research that gives us better medicine. It is about robotics that improve manufacturing, and artificial intelligence that makes industries more efficient.

M-SET is Africa’s declaration that we will not remain behind. We will not just watch others explore the skies—we will build, we will launch, and we will take our place among the stars.

A Call to Action

My friends, Africa does not need pity. We need opportunity. We do not need handouts. We need platforms. We do not need to be rescued. We need to be empowered.

That is what Monocrone Technology, ETUW, the Don Zayeed Foundation, and M-SET stand for. We are not just building companies we are building futures. We are not just creating jobs we are creating hope.

But I cannot do this alone. No leader can. It will take all of us governments, investors, educators, innovators, and above all, the youth.

If you are unemployed today, do not give up. Your unemployment is not the end of your story. It is the beginning of your innovation. The beginning of your rise.

Because one day, when the story of this century is written, history will not say that Africa was left behind. It will say:
